New Beginnings

Our ds will be starting public school next Tuesday. He, of course, is very excited! We, on the other hand are a little bit nervous. I am praying that he will find something there that sparks his interest, something that causes him to strive to be a better person. I am praying that he will find a way to fit in with a good group of kids and not feel like he has to "show off" in order to be accepted. I am praying that he will learn to feel good about himself.

I will be starting a home-based daycare the following week. I will have a 14-month-old and a 7-week-old. I have been having fun lately buying baby and toddler toys and supplies. I have been blessed to find some great deals at our local thrift store and children's consignment store. I have decided to get registered so my two families can claim their daycare expenses on their taxes. It means a little bit more paperwork for me and some costly fingerprint scans, but otherwise is not too bad.

Your prayers in these new areas that we are walking into are much appreciated.

I will be praying for all of you! :) I'm sure this wasn't an easy decision. It's hard stepping out on faith sometimes. (Remember me a few months ago?? Thinking I couldn't homeschool??)

But I know your ds will be blessed, because you are doing what God wants.
I know I've said this before, but I really believe it, God has big plans for your DS. God sees the big picture, even when we can't. (Now can you remind me of this when I'm whining about Gracie??? :)

By the way, thanks to your DS Megs wanted a skateboard for Christmas... And now she is trying to do all of the tricks... Tell him "Thanks" :) LOL!!!

I hope we can get together sometime in February. I miss you guys!!
